Uganda is located on the Eastern side of Africa with approximately 48 million people; it has the world’s youngest population with over 78% of its population below the age of 30 with just under eight million youth aged 12-30 Years. Youth is the largest unreached people group in Uganda and are faced with different significant challenges like unemployment, early pregnancy, school-dropouts, bad peer pressure, not getting involved in community developmental activities, victims of criminal cases, and more. In Uganda 8.8 million young people aged 15-24 are not engaged in education. Uganda hosts the largest number of refugees in Africa and 58% are youth facing different challenges. Many of these young people become Jesus-followers between the ages of 12-18 but are driven away by worldly pressure.
For the last 10 years Frontier Force has intentionally targeted raising many youth workers in both churches and communities who can help reach out to help young people find joy and purpose in God in four different regions of Uganda. We engage young people through sports, music, open youth life discussions, and community/school outreach ministries, all with the purpose of helping them live and think like Jesus.
Our dream is to have more regional youth training hubs that aim at engaging young people holistically in rural and urban slums. We need more workers because the harvest is plentiful here. And this gives us JOY when you (Ends of the Earth Cycling Participants) come in to join us through your prayers and financial support.
