Cycle Where
Jesus Walked

Israel Bike Ride
April 8-15, 2024

Tour Highlights

Join Ends of the Earth Cycling as we #PrayPedalRepeat on road bikes in Israel! We’re partnering with Biking Israel so that we can experience on two wheels the land where Jesus walked. Bicycling the Holy Land is the best way to experience the highlights of the Christian sites in Israel. From the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem to the winding roads of Galilee, all the way to the crucifixion and resurrection sites in ancient Jerusalem, you’ll bicycle and walk in the footsteps of the life of Jesus. You’ve been reading from Scripture for years – now’s the time to bring the words of the Bible to life.

This six-day, 220-mile ride will take us on a journey around the land of Jesus. We will begin our tour in Galilee where we will ride the Carmel Mountains to the Jezreel Valley. We will transfer to Nazareth where we will see the Church of the Transfiguration. As we ride the Sea of Galilee loop, we will see the Church of the Beatitudes, the traditional mount on which Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. We will also see the town of Capernaum.

After riding round the Sea of Galilee, we will transfer to Jericho where we will ride through the Judean Desert and along the Dead Sea. Along this route we will see the traditional site of Jesus’ baptism, along the Jordan River. We will also be able to swim (or float, rather) in the Dead Sea. Jerusalem will be our next stop. We will begin at the Mount of Olives and will ride a loop around the city of Jerusalem. After the ride, we will participate in a walking tour of the city where we will experience communion together at the Garden Tomb, the Via Dolorosa (a processional route that represents the path that Jesus took on His way to His crucifixion), the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, as well as the Western/Wailing Wall.

Our tour will come to an end as we begin in the lowlands of Judea and climb our way through the mountains. Along this route, we will see the Tel Azekah, which is the battlefield of David and Goliath. At the end of this ride, we will transfer to Bethlehem, where we will see the Church of the Nativity.

On this tour, you’ll have the opportunity to make new friends and cycle through the Holy Land. Embark on the journey of a lifetime by choosing this six-day bicycling tour of Israel! Unlike most Ends Cycling tours, this will not be to raise money for a beneficiary. However, we will have the unique opportunity to intentionally pray for the youth of Israel as we experience this significant and beautiful land.
