Raising A Modern
Day Knight

A Ministry to Fathers and Sons
February 15-17, 2025

Event Highlights

An island campout with a purpose!

Florida Knights is a new and growing community of men that are passionate about a father’s role in guiding his son to authentic manhood. We are all about men passing down the legacy of Biblical manhood to the next generation of young men.  This time-tested curriculum and experience aims to build the next generation of Biblical men.

This ministry is for ALL men who are in a position of significant influence in the life of a boy becoming a young man.  We are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and pastors… any man who is a role model for a boy in your life!

Youth participants are ideally high-school students.  Adult participants can be of any age!

Sons need fathers who are involved in their lives – dads and mentors who will love them, teach them, and discipline them.  But clearly, sons also need a masculine vision. They need a manhood language.  They need ceremony.  And they need other men.  Knighthood, as an outline, offers all this and more.  – Robert Lewis from “Raising a Modern Day Knight”

Join us for a campout filled with:

  • Biblical teaching and experiential learning
  • Fun and creative activities and challenges that communicate:
    • A vision for manhood
    • A code of conduct
    • A kingdom cause
  • Plenty of time for fellowship, fishing, and food!
  • A ceremony where dads/mentors will publicly affirm and bless their boys
  • Leaders who will guide all participants (adults and youth) through the experience

Adults who register will experience coaching and mentoring via short meetings and/or phone connects to assure they are prepared and equipped in their roles before the campout.

Venue
Ends of the Earth Adventures is excited to return to 10,000 Islands for this “campout with a purpose”, a large island chain and mangrove cluster located South of Naples / Everglades City, Florida. Once on Pavilion Key, there is no way to return to the mainland except for emergencies. This event will not cover your fishing licenses. Be sure to read our “The Nitty Gritty” section below for more details about your fishing licenses, what can be expected, what to pack, etc.

Where the money goes

Not to Ends Cycling

The majority (90%) of all donations goes directly toward impacting youth served by our beneficiary in this county, in Jesus’ name. The remaining funds (10%) support the administrative costs for our parent organization, New International, a not-for-profit which, in all honesty, helps us do what we do even better. Tax deductible receipts and year end giving statements are provided to all tour participants and donors.  Find our more about our financial transparency and accountability standards on our About page.

Event Itinerary

yes we'll have Coffee

Day 1, we will meet in Fort Myers at New International at 7:30am (2701 Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, FL). We will do an equipment check and pack everything into drybag. From there, we will drive to Everglades City (Chokoloskee Island) where you will be shuttled by boat offshore to Pavilion Key.

There you will help set up your camp and enjoy everything the 10,000 Islands has to offer. Right from the start, participants will engage in experiences that reinforce Biblical truth.  We will eat lunch and dinner on the island. In the evenings, we will have a campfire and dive into the Word of God together.

Day 2 will be a full day that includes experiential learning, deep discussions, and a whole lot of fun.  We will eat breakfast, lunch and dinner out on the island.

There will some structured “free-time” in the schedule where you can spend time fishing, looking for shells and Indian pottery, walking the beach or just taking in the sun on a beach chair.  In the evening, there will be a campfire and a memorable time together.

Our campout builds to day three, and we will conclude our time with a ceremony that includes blessings and affirmations.   Around lunch, we will drive everyone back to Fort Myers, arriving before dinner.
